Grooming Jihad reported from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Following constant harassment, a college lecturer’s family had filed a police complaint earlier this month against Shameer from Kattakada near Thiruvananthapuram. This led to the grooming jihadi allegedly kidnapping the Hindu lady. An incensed Shameer then sent threatening messages to her brother warning him of terrible consequences.

He sent a photograph where he was seen with his arm around the woman’s neck inside a car. An audio clip that he attached had some chilling words and warnings. Shameer said that this time around the lady is wearing clothes and her face is not visible. He warned that if the police or the army enquires into the issue, the public will see her naked photos.

The Islamist added that he is a vagabond who is ready to die! He promised an exodus of the whole family and said that soon no one in town will remember their names. Foul language was also thrown in for added effect.

The victim’s family approached the police and alleged that Shameer who had kidnapped her, was also forcing her to convert. An inquiry by the DYSP of Neyyattinkara was able to find them and they were produced before the court. The woman was sent with her parents.

Reports suggested that Shameer has a history of grooming. He has previously groomed two Hindu girls and married them. Gangs that lure Hindu girls only to sexually abuse them or convert them to Islam are finding prominence in Kerala. Fearing further insults and police hassle, many families remain silent.
