Vadodara grooming case: Izhar booked for rape, trapped & blackmailed Hindu girl using her private photos

In a new grooming case, Vadodara police booked Izhar Kalusha Dewan for blackmailing a Hindu girl using pictures and video of her private parts he had taken during a video. He forced the girl into a physical relationship by threatening to make the pictures and video shot during the call viral.

A case was registered in the Karjan police station regarding the incident. The police booked Dewan for rape based on the victim’s complaint. He is accused of committing the crime twice. The victim was raped at a guest house in Karjan, located under the new railway overbridge. He is a resident of Bharuch district’s Palej.

The victim came into contact with Dewan in 2020 when both were pursuing nursing at Bharuchana College. Diwan used the opportunity to befriend the girl and trap her in the name of love. He coerced the victim by repeatedly asking her to share her nude photos. When she refused to send pictures, Diwan asked her to show her nude self on the video call. He recorded her secretly and used them to threaten and blackmail her.

He used the recording to force the girl to meet him at the guest house where he raped her. Later, the girl gathered enough courage to inform her parents about the incident. The victim’s parents encouraged her to file a complaint against Diwan.
