Father of five daughters, Mohammad Wasim arrested for raping his own minor daughter in Sambhal, UP

In Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, a shocking case of rape of a 13-year-old minor girl by her own father has come to the fore. On Friday, the police arrested the rape victim’s father Mohammad Wasim, who was on the run ever since his wife had filed a case against him.

The police have registered a case against the Mohammad Wasim under several serious sections including the POCSO Act.

The case pertains to the Nakhasa police station area of ​​Sambhal. A Muslim woman living in a locality here had filed a complaint against her husband at the police station last Friday. She lodged a complaint against her husband Mohammad Wasim for raping her 13-year-old minor daughter.

Along with this, the woman had also made serious allegations against her husband of assaulting her and other family members for opposing the rape. It is also mentioned that Wasim had absconded from his house post this heinous deed.

After getting the complaint, the police was making efforts to arrest the accused and continuously raided various locations to arrest him, and he was finally caught by the police on Friday. The case has been registered against Wasim, his father Tanjmim Hussain and mother Firdausi under sec 5/6 of POCSO Act & 376, 506, 323, 498A of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
