CPM goons who attacked BJP workers released by force: Palakkad, Kerala

On Tuesday, Alathur Police in the Palakkad district of Kerala registered a case against Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) workers who assaulted two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers Vishnu and Dinesh and Vishnu’s mother, with sharp weapons. The aggression happened when CPM goons attacked Vishnu’s house.

Vishnu’s mother, Parvathy, was also hacked when she tried to stop the assailants. All three were admitted to the Alathur Taluk hospital with severe injuries, and Kerala police arrested a few communist workers for the violence.

On Wednesday, BJP state president K Surendran said local CPM leaders and activists surrounded the police station at night and freed the accused. Janam TV released footage that confirmed the same.

Two Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists and a woman were injured in the CPM attack at Pazhambalakkode village in Alathur Block, Palakkad. Around 25 CPM activists took part in the violence. CPM criminals surrounded the police station and freed the accused. Surendran also alleged that CPM goons have been running loose in different parts of the district since the CPM was reelected to power.

Forcefully entering the police station and freeing the accused is a disgrace to Kerala, Surendran said. This is the latest example of the state’s breakdown of law and order. The police should be prepared to stop the CPM criminals from ruining the life of the people of Alathur. Surendran added that the BJP would organize a strong protest against CPM violence.

After news trickled out, Kerala police swung into action and arrested nine CPM workers who took part in the brutality and released the criminals from Alathur police station.

CPM Area Committee member Mohammad Haneef and Erimayur Panchayat member K Anshif were arrested for barging into the police station and releasing CPM goons. Tharoor CPM Local Committee (LC) Secretary M Mithun, Athipotta LC Secretary Velayudhan, former Area Committee Member V Gopalakrishnan, and Panchayat Members Santhosh and Mahesh were detained for the initial violence.

Last year, a BJYM activist named Arun Kumar was killed in a CPM attack in the same area. HinduPost reported how CPM-DYFI activists murdered yet another RSS-Yuva Morcha leader in Kerala. CPM workers stabbed Tharoor panchayat BJYM secretary Arun Kumar on Sivarathri.

Arun Kumar succumbed to his injuries in March 2022. Six of the seven accused were arrested, and all the accused are CPM workers. Kerala police pushed off the incident as ‘petty rivalry.’ It is alleged that Kerala police chivalry is reserved for Hindus only, especially devotees.

Kerala communists use both jihadis and Hindus In Name Only (HINOs) in areas where Hindus are the majority. There are allegations that Popular Front of India (PFI) terrorists turn CPM leaders, and they are being used to tackle Kerala police. Left untackled, Kerala will go down the West Bengal route, where Hindus are the victims of political murders and violence by radical Islamists and HINOs.
