Auto driver Arshad Ali faked identity to lure and harass Hindu girls: Bhopal

Bhopal Police have arrested an auto driver named Arshad Ali for threatening and sexually harassing Hindu girls. The incident has been reported from the Gautam Nagar area of Bhopal. One of the girls targeted by him along with her companions plotted a trap to ambush him and after nabbing him they handed him over to the police. Ali is accused of luring three other girls with the false promises of giving them a job, and then forcing them to do sexual acts.

When one of his victims from Gautam Nagar sensed that Arshad was trying to trick her into his trap by giving a fake job offer, she hatched a plan to get him caught. She also made sure that Arshad shouldn’t get a hint that she has understood his ill motives. The girl asked him to meet her at a spot within the proximity of Gautam Nagar Police Station.

As soon as Arshad arrived at the location to meet her, the girl and her other companions who were already present there surrounded him. Realizing that he was trapped, Arshad started crying – a video of the incident has since gone viral.

As per reports, the police have booked him for harassing girls under IPC 354 (criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty). Police have also confirmed that the accused is a resident of Brij Bihar Colony and had presented himself as Sunny to trap his victims. Arshad confessed to the police that a fellow auto driver used to help him in procuring the contact numbers of these girls and he used to call them to establish connections.

His victims have said in their statement to police that Arshad used to call them and talk to them as Sunny. Gradually, he would demand them to do objectionable actions and when the girls objected, he would threaten them. Station In-charge Saurabh Pandey spoke to the media on this case and said that investigations are on.
