“October 8 was a big-bang day for Mumbai and Bharat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his first day of the two-day trip to Mumbai, inaugurated two futuristic projects – one will redefine the inter-city and international mobility for Bharat, and the second will reimagine intra-city mobility in Urbs Prima in Indis, the Maximum City Mumbai. Here are the details.

Firstly, Navi Mumbai International Airport

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Phase One of the Navi Mumbai International Airport. Built at a cost of 19,650 crore, it is India’s largest greenfield airport project, developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Also, with the inauguration, Mumbai joined the select cities in the world to have more than one operational airport – the roll call of such cities is led by London and New York the two have six operational airports each.

Designed by London-based Zaha Hadid Architects, the terminal structure draws inspiration from the lotus flower and will showcase art that celebrates Maharashtra’s history and culture……”
