Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his first day of the two-day trip to Mumbai, inaugurated two futuristic projects – one will redefine the inter-city and international mobility for Bharat, and the second will reimagine intra-city mobility in Urbs Prima in Indis, the Maximum City Mumbai. Firstly, Navi Mumbai International Airport
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Phase One of the Navi Mumbai International Airport. Built at a cost of 19,650 crore, it is India’s largest greenfield airport project, developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Also, with the inauguration, Mumbai joined the select cities in the world to have more than one operational airport – the roll call of such cities is led by London and New York the two have six operational airports each.
Designed by London-based Zaha Hadid Architects, the terminal structure draws inspiration from the lotus flower and will showcase art that celebrates Maharashtra’s history and culture……”
