Bharat must invest in mission mode on critical technologies, economy to stave off China challenge

Bharat has to invest massively in software, design and critical technologies like drones, hypersonic missiles and quantum computing if it has to fend off the challenge from China. Bharat also has to invest in cyber-security to gain asymmetric advantages over China.

Speaking at a seminar on the looming Chinese challenge organised by the Centre for China Analysis and Strategy (CCAS), former president of NASSCOM Kiran Karnik said that just like maintaining geo-strategic relations, Bharat will have to build technological alliances with friendly countries like Taiwan, Europe and the US.

Karnik added that China has gained such a headstart in technology that it is now trying to rival the US. He added that Bharat is dependent on Chinese companies in power and telecom which have a lot of electronics due to which these sectors can be manipulated if the Chinese investment continues in these sectors.

Giving an insight into why China has been belligerent, Jayadeva Ranade, president CCAS, said that China’s comprehensive strength has risen that is why it has attacked Bharat and has been aggressive with other nations. Another area where Bharat has to work on is the trade balance which is highly skewed in China’s favour. Ranade said that Bharat is importing a lot of non-essential items like umbrellas, lamp-shades and idols which can be easily produced in the country.

Ranade added that it is time Bharat drops its defensive attitude towards China and begins to name the country. This was a sentiment which Lt. Gen. Rakesh Sharma, distinguished fellow Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) also spoke about. Sharma said: “Our politicial hierarchy has laid a lot of restrictions, which include not crossing the borders, not going till Skardu … or not opening up another front.” He added that we need to increase our defence budget and also need to prioritise on how we spend it.

To a question on whether Bharat will protect its western border or its north-eastern border in the situation of a conflict with China, Sharma said that Bharat is a sovereign nation. “We will fight everywhere and protect both the glacier and also the north-east.”

Giving an insight into the GDP of a country, C Raja Mohan, Senior Fellow at The Asia Society Policy Institute, said that Japan had the third-largest GDP but it did not matter as the country restrained itself in military expenditure and defence matters. But now that situation is changing.

The panelists were of the view that the GDP comparisons between Bharat and China are not as relevant because of the role of technology, asymmetrical warfare and the role of alliances in future conflicts.

Relations with China ‘complex’, Pakistan engages in hostile agenda to vilify Bharat: MEA report

Bharat has admitted that its relationship with China is “complex” while criticising Pakistan for continuously sponsoring cross-border terrorism despite New Delhi’s attempts to normalise ties with it.

In its annual report for 2022, the Ministry of External Affairs has been critical of both its neighbouring countries for their efforts to disrupt peace along Bharat’s northern and western borders.

“India’s engagement with China is complex. Chinese attempts to unilaterally alter the status quo along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Western Sector starting from April-May 2020 have disturbed the peace and tranquility along the LAC. These have been met with an appropriate response from the Indian armed forces,” the report said.

It further stated that “the External Affairs Minister has conveyed to his counterpart that restoration of normalcy will require a restoration of peace and tranquility in the border areas. It was also highlighted that India-China relationship is best served by observing the three mutuals – mutual respect, mutual sensitivity, and mutual interests. The two sides remain engaged through diplomatic (11 meetings of Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) since June 2020) and military channels (17 meetings of Senior Highest Military Commander (SHMC) since June 2020) to resolve the remaining issues along the LAC”.

On Pakistan, the annual report said that “India desires normal neighbourly relations with Pakistan. India’s consistent position is that issues, if any, between India and Pakistan should be resolved bilaterally and peacefully, in an atmosphere free of terror and violence. The onus is on Pakistan to create such a conducive environment. However, Pakistan continues to sponsor cross border terrorism against India; restrict normal trade, connectivity, and people-to people exchanges”.

It also added that Pakistan continues to engage in hostile and fabricated propaganda to vilify Bharat, and to divert attention from its domestic political and economic failures. Bharat has completely and unequivocally rejected all actions and statements by Pakistan on matters which are completely internal to Bharat.

“There is a greater understanding among countries that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and that the matters related to it are internal to India. Despite India’s persistent urging that Pakistan respect its January 2004 commitment of not allowing its soil or territory under its control to be used for terrorism against India, there was no let-up in cross-border terrorism, infiltration and illegal smuggling of arms into India across the LoC and International Boundary,” it noted.

“Pakistan is yet to show sincerity in delivering justice to the families of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Bharat has consistently stressed the need for Pakistan to take credible, irreversible and verifiable action to end cross border terrorism. Bharat consistently raises the issue of Pakistan’s continued support to cross-border terrorism and terrorist infiltration in bilateral, regional and multilateral fora. In such outreach, credible inputs regarding the Pakistani-origins of the captured terrorists are also shared,” the report said further.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at six places in Jammu and Kashmir at the hideouts of suspects who were involved in target killing of Kashmiri Pandits and terror funding.

The raids started early Tuesday morning and are currently going on. The NIA has not commented on the matter as yet.

“We are conducting raids at six places belonging to the suspects. The suspects get instructions from Pakistan-based handlers, and used to carry out terror activities in the name of different groups. They were using cyber spaces for target killings, especially to kill Kashmiri Pandits,” said the NIA source.

On Monday also, the NIA raided a number of locations in Jammu and Kashmir in the terror cases.

In Tuesday’s case, the NIA source said that those involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandits will not be spared.

“They are doing this after getting instructions from Pakistan-based handlers. They are trying to create unrest in India,” the source said.

A few suspects are also being grilled by the NIA, the source added.

Official sources also said the raids are part of the ongoing terror funding case investigation being carried out by the premier investigating agency.

“These raids are presently being carried out in Srinagar, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama districts.

“These are part of the ongoing investigation into the terror funding case. Local police and the CRPF are assisting NIA in carrying out the raids at multiple places,” sources said.

Ancient Hindu wisdom for sound sleep

Ayurveda describes sleep as a basic instinct of life, essential to all living beings. Happiness and unhappiness, nourishment (proper physique) and non-nourishment, strength and debility, vigour and vitality, knowledge and ignorance, life span and death – all are dependant on sleep.

Understanding Nidra (sleep):

Ayurveda considers Nidra (sleep) as one of the three pillars of health, alongside Ahara (food) and Brahmacharya (code of conduct for energy management). Sleep is essential to ensure good health and well-being. It provides the basic strong resistance to combat minor diseases and imbalances on a long-term basis.

An important function of sleep is the enhancement of Ojas (vital energy) the master coordinator between mind, body and soul. Ojus being the fine product of digestion and a life-supporting element, helps to insulate the mind from daily stress and exertion. The quality and quantity of sleep, therefore, need to be balanced, so as to enable effective functioning and it is necessary to disconnect the mind from the senses. Although people have acknowledged the importance of good diet and exercise, they tend to ignore the importance of sleep, which in turn can have drastic consequences on one’s health.

For this, the elements of sleep that play a major role in getting perfect sleep need to be understood and practised. The right breathing pattern, snoring, the right posture, setting up a daily evening routine and creating a conducive physical environment are some of the key elements.

An ideal position and posture are crucial to getting good sleep. According to Ayurveda sleeping on your left side is very beneficial as it improves circulation and promotes digestion and cardiac functions.

Ayurveda also recommends sleeping on the left side, as it is believed to help one breathe properly while supporting body functions well.

For quality sleep, getting the right breathing pattern is essential.

Ayurveda says that sleeping immediately after a long and hectic day can lead to snoring. Regular snoring meanwhile indicates that you are not getting enough oxygen for the repair of the wear and tear of bodily tissues. To counter this, Ayurveda promotes Abhyanga (oil massage), Padabhyanga (feet massage) and Nasya karma (drops of medicated oil in the nostrils) as a solution for such issues.

Sleeping in a well-ventilated place (not directly beneath the fan or air condition ducts) on a comfortable bed and with a suitable pillow, facing in a particular direction (excluding the north) is believed to promote good sleep and improve sleep quality.

A good healthy routine has a direct impact on the quality of your sleep. Following it ensures a relaxed mind. Light exercise, light food, early dinners, listening to soothing music and following the rules of digital detox etc. – such habits can make for a good evening routine.

Creating a conducive environment for sleep is necessary to calm the mind and body.

To do this, put away your gadgets to avoid the radiations which are in reality harmful to the nervous system. Ensure your surroundings are cool and clean and fresh to make it relaxing. To bring your body back into balance, try to go to bed and wake up at around the same time each day and aim to eat your meals too at approximately the same time every day.

At the end of the day before going to sleep, practice gratitude by gently taking stock of all the good things in your life and all the moments you were grateful for in the day.

Thus Nidra (Sleep) is to be done and practised perfectly, like a ritual – for relaxing the body and quietening the mind to rest. Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most important things you can do to promote overall well-being and is to be considered and valued as one of life’s ultimate and precious riches.

Nazis courted the Islamic world during WWII, and Hitler praised Islam as a ‘strong, martial religion’

At the height of the war in 1941-1942, when German troops entered Muslim-populated territories in the Balkans, North Africa, Crimea, and the Caucasus, and approached the Middle East and Central Asia, Berlin began to see Islam as politically significant. Nazi Germany made significant attempts to promote an alliance with the “Muslim world” against their alleged common enemies — the British Empire, the Soviet Union, America and Jews.

In the war zones, Germany engaged with a wide range of religious policies and propaganda to promote the Nazi regime as the patron of Islam. As early as 1941, the Wehrmacht distributed the military handbook “Islam” to train its soldiers to behave correctly towards Muslim populations. On the eastern Front, the Nazi occupiers ordered the rebuilding of mosques, prayer halls, and madrasas — previously destroyed by Moscow — and the re-establishment of religious rituals and celebrations in order to undermine Soviet rule.

German military authorities also made extensive efforts to co-opt Islamic dignitaries. German propagandists in the eastern territories, the Balkans, and North Africa tried to use religious rhetoric, vocabulary and iconography to mobilize Muslims. They politicized sacred texts like the Quran as well as religious imperatives, most notably the concept of jihad, in order to foment religious violence for political ends.

From 1941 onwards, the Nazi Wehrmacht army and the paramilitary SS recruited tens of thousands of Muslims, mainly to save German blood. Muslim soldiers fought on all fronts. German army officials granted these recruits a wide range of religious concessions, even lifting the ban on ritual slaughter, a practice that had been prohibited for anti-Semitic reasons by Hitler’s Law for the Protection of Animals of 1933.

A widespread assumption exists that Muslims supported the Nazi Regime because they shared an anti-Semitic perspective. This is precisely why the Nazis tried to get Muslims on the regime’s side. What can you tell us about this assumption?

On the German side pragmatic, strategic interests were the most important driving force behind this policy. In its propaganda, however, especially in the Arab world, anti-Semitic themes played an important role. Anti-Semitic propaganda was often connected to attacks against the Zionist migration to Palestine which had emerged as a main topic in Arab political discourses.

The Mufti of Jerusalem met with Adolf Hitler in 1941. According to Motadel, some of Hitler’s Muslim allies shared the Nazi leader’s hatred of Jews. Image: picture-alliance/dpa/akg-images

On the Muslim side one cannot generalize. Some of the Muslim allies of the Nazi regime — most importantly the famous Mufti of Jerusalem — shared the Nazis’ Jew-hatred. In the war zones, in the Balkans, in North Africa, and in the Eastern territories, the picture is more complicated. In many of these regions, Muslims and Jews had lived together for centuries. And in some cases, Muslims would now help their Jewish neighbors, for example hiding them from the Germans.

What goals did the Nazi regime pursue with its attempt to persuade Muslims to join them and what were sympathetic Muslim leaders hoping for?

The Third Reich’s engagement with Islam was not only that Muslim-populated regions had become part of the war zones, but also, more importantly, that from 1941 to 1942, Germany’s military situation had deteriorated. In the Soviet Union, Hitler’s Blitzkrieg strategy had failed. As the Wehrmacht came under pressure, strategists in Berlin began to seek broader war coalitions, thereby demonstrating remarkable pragmatism. The courtship of Muslims was to pacify the occupied Muslim-populated territories and to mobilize Muslims to fight on the side of Hitler’s armies.

Historian David Motadel has authered two books and various articles on Islam, Europe and GermanyImage: Privat

Many of those Muslims who worked with the Nazi regime had pragmatic reasons. They believed that Nazi Germany in 1941-1942 would be victorious and that it would determine the future world order and that the Nazis could help them become liberated from, for example, British imperial rule.

The motives of these soldiers varied considerably. Of course some recruits were driven by religious hatred and anti-Bolshevist, ideological fervor. Overall, however, Muslims often had rather profane motives for enlisting.

Did the Nazis really see Islam as something inherently positive or were the Muslims only a means to an end?

Overall, I think that Muslims were means to an end. Nazi policies towards Islam were informed by pragmatism. Some leading Nazis, particularly Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler, repeatedly expressed their respect for Islam. Whenever denouncing the Catholic Church, Hitler routinely contrasted it with Islam. While he denounced Catholicism as a weak, effeminate religion, he praised Islam as a strong, aggressive, martial religion. Overall, however, it was strategic considerations, not ideology, that led to Nazi Germany’s campaign for Islamic mobilization.

Wasn’t Nazi racism a major obstacle to collaborating with Muslims?

Hitler had already postulated the racial inferiority of non-European peoples in “Mein Kampf.” Once in power, however, German officials showed themselves to be more pragmatic: Non-Jewish Turks, Iranians and Arabs had already been explicitly exempted from any official racial discrimination in the 1930s, following diplomatic interventions from the governments in Tehran, Ankara, and Cairo. And during the war the Germans showed similar pragmatism. Muslims everywhere, it was clear to every German officer, were to be treated as allies.

The realities on the ground were by no means straightforward. In the first months of the Nazi invasion of Russia, SS squads executed thousands of Muslims on the assumption that their circumcision showed that they were Jewish. Eventually, Reinhard Heydrich, chief Nazi security officer, sent out a directive cautioning the task force executing squads to be more careful. On the southern fringes of the Soviet Union, however, German killing squads still had difficulties distinguishing Muslims from Jews. Moreover, in North Africa, the Balkans, and on the Eastern Front, German soldiers were confronted with diverse Muslim populations, including Muslim Roma and Jewish converts to Islam.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary charge sheet before a special court in Hyderabad against five accused in the Nizamabad PFI case pertaining to criminal conspiracy hatched by PFI members to recruit and radicalize youth and organize training camps to put them through arms training for carrying out acts of terror and violence to make Bharat an Islamic state by 2047.

“The accused are trained Popular Front of India (PFI) cadres who were found involved in provoking and radicalising impressionable Muslim youth, recruiting them into the PFI fold and imparting weapons training in specifically organised training camps. The aim was to carry out violent terrorist activities, in furtherance of the conspiracy to establish Islamic rule in the country by 2047,” the NIA said in its chargesheet.

The NIA chargesheeted Shaik Raheem alias Abdul Raheem, Shaik Vahaid Ali alias Abdul Wahed Ali, Jafrulla Khan Pathan, Shaik Riyaz Ahmed and Abdul Waris under the relevant sections of IPC and UA(P)A.

In December 2022, the NIA had filed its first chargesheet against 11 accused in the case after taking over the investigation from Telangana police in August 2022.

“These PFI cadres misinterpreted religious texts and proclaimed that violent form of jihad is necessary to end the sufferings of Muslims in Bharat. Once recruited into the PFI fold, the Muslim youth were sent to the training camps organized by the accused PFI cadres where they were trained in the use of lethal weapons to kill their ‘targets’ by attacking their vital body parts such as throat, stomach and head,” the NIA alleged.

The PFI and its many affiliates were declared as an ‘unlawful association’ by the Ministry of Home Affairs in September 2022 after its involvement in violent activities came to light during investigations carried out by various state police units and national agencies.

Kapil Sibal’s hypocritical theatrics: “No hope from SC” on odd days, “SC only hope to save democracy” on even days!

0
sibal

The hypocrisy of Congress leader Kapil Sibal was on display in the Supreme Court (SC) as he pleaded with the bench to set aside former Maharashtra governor BS Koshiyari’s decision calling for a trust vote for Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA (Maha Vikas Aghadi) government to prove its majority. He is appearing along with Abhishek Manu Singhvi on behalf of Uddhav Thackeray.

“When we enter this courtroom, we are in awe of its aura and come with a lot of hope. You (SC) are the only hope for 1.4 billion people in this country. You (SC) cannot allow decimation of democracy in this uncouth and un-civilised manner”, Sibal melodramatically proclaimed. Interestingly, he termed the governor’s decision as ‘unconstitutional’.

Not surprisingly, the Congress leader opined that BS Koshiyari had enabled an ‘unholy conspiracy to topple an elected government’. What he completely overlooked was the illegitimate manner in which Uddhav Thackeray formed the MVA by ditching the BJP and thereby allowing Congress and NCP a backdoor entry into the Maharashtra government after they had been rejected by the people of the state.

There was more melodrama as Sibal asked the SC to step in and ‘save democracy’. “I am absolutely certain that without the intervention of this court, our democracy will be in danger because no government will be allowed to survive. It is with that hope that I beseech your Lordships to set aside the governor’s decision (to ask Uddhav Thackeray as chief minister to face a vote of confidence)”, Sibal argued.

“The history of this court is a history of celebrations, to the lone exception of ADM Jabalpur (the 1976 judgment by a five-judge bench which, by a four-to-one majority, had upheld the suspension of fundamental rights during the Emergency). I wish and hope this (the Maharashtra issue) is an equally significant case, a moment in the history of this court when the future of democracy will be determined”, he said while concluding his arguments.

Sibal who now sees ‘hope only in the SC’ had himself targeted the apex court and said that he had no hopes and expectations left from the SC. He made the remarks while speaking at an event titled ‘People’s Tribunal on the Judicial rollback of Civil liberties’ in the Constitutional Club on August 6 last year.

“You have to come on the streets. If you think that the Supreme Court will give you justice, you are gravely mistaken. I am saying this with 50 years of experience. The court where the judges are made through a process of compromise, the court which has no system of who will hear what kind of cases, the court where the CJI decides that this matter will go to this bench when the case will go when it will be heard- there is no system- that court can never be independent”, Sibal said.

“I have also worked in this court for 50 years, I don’t like that I am saying these things about the courts, but the time has come. If we don’t do it, who will? The reality is that whichever sensitive matters are there in which we know there is a problem- they are listed before selective judges. When they appear before the court we know what the result is going to be”, remarked Sibal.

He was clearly upset with the apex court’s decision in the Zakia Jaffri and PMLA cases. “The point that I am making is what kind of confidence will you have in a system when the laws of this nature are upheld by the Supreme Court, how can you have confidence in that system?” Sibal said with regard to the SC’s PMLA judgment.

Following his controversial remarks, two advocates wrote to the Attorney General (AG) of India KK Venugopal requesting the initiation of criminal contempt proceedings against Senior Advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal.

“Mr Kapil Sibal has directly made allegations with intent to disgrace and scandalise the sitting judges of the highest court, the Supreme Court, of our country. The statements by Mr Sibal have scandalized the judgments passed by the Supreme Court judges and accused the judges of being corrupt”, Advocate Vineet Jindal noted in his letter.

“This is becoming a common trend and setting the wrong precedence that lawyers with political affiliations use the judiciary as a means to push their political agenda thereby criticising the Court and the whole legal system by making reckless allegations against judges who do not decide cases in their favour”, Advocate Shashank Shekhar Jha said in a separate letter while seeking consent from the AG to initiate criminal contempt proceedings against Kapil Sibal.

This wasn’t the first instance when the senior Congress leader had lashed out at the SC. “In recent years free speech and how it has been interpreted by the Supreme Court has not allowed the space that is constitutionally permissible to it. When the judiciary turns a blind eye to ex facie violations of the rule of law one wonders why an institution designed to protect the rule of law allows the rule of law to be infringed with open eyes”, he had said in an interview with news agency PTI in July last year.

It would be apt to point out that Sibal who constantly attacked the SC had the temerity to deem Law Minister Kiran Rijiju’s comments on the apex court ‘unacceptable’. “As far as the law minister’s (Kiren Rijiju’s) attacks (on Supreme Court) are concerned, they are driven by the desire of the government to have the final say in the appointment of judges to the higher judiciary”, Sibal said in December last year.

Basically, according to Sibal, only he and his ilk have the right to criticize the SC at will and it becomes unacceptable when others do so. Moreover, such is their sense of entitlement that they will lash out at the SC and its judges if the judgments are not to their liking and express ‘faith and hope’ in the SC when they want to ‘curry favour’ with the judges.

Canada to deport 700 Bharatiya students as visa documents filed by education agent in Jalandhar found to be fake

0

The Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA) has issued deportation notices to over 700 Bharatiya students whose admission offer letters to educational institutions were found to be fake.

Talking to indianarrative.com on phone from Toronto, Chaman Singh Batth said that after passing +2, about 700 students applied for study visa through Education Migration Services, Jalandhar headed by one Brijesh Mishra. These visa applications were filed in 2018 onwards till 2022.

Mishra charged each student between Rs 16 to Rs 20 lakh for all expenses including admission fees to a premier institute Humber college. Air tickets and security deposits were not included in the payment to the agent.

Batth said after he and other students landed in Toronto and were heading to Humber college, a telephone call was received Mishra telling them that all seats in the courses offered to them got filled adding that they would now have to wait till the start of the next semester after 6 months or else they could get admission to some other college and safe time. He, however, returned their Humber college fee which further made students believe his genuineness.

Unsuspecting students as advised by Mishra contacted another college, less known, and took admission to available 2-year diploma courses. The classes commenced and after completion of the courses, students got work permits. On becoming eligible for permanent resident status in Canada, the students, as per rule, submitted relevant documents to the immigration department.

Batth says: “all trouble started when CBSA scrutinised the documents on the basis which visa was granted to the students and found admission offer letters fake. Deportation notices were issued to all the students after granting them an opportunity for a hearing.”

To a question, Batth replied that the agent very cleverly did not himself sign our visa application files but made each student sign to show that the student was a self-applicant without hiring the services of any agent. This was deliberately done by Mishra as he had faked the documents.

The CBSA officials were now not accepting the claims of innocence of the “victims” as there was no evidence to prove that agent Mishra prepared and arranged all documents.

The CBSA was also not accepting the failure of the Canadian visa and airport authorities that issued visas and allowed them entry by checking the authenticity of all documents.

The only remedy left for the students is to challenge the deportation notices in court where proceedings may continue for 3 to 4 years. It is common knowledge that hiring the services of Canadian lawyers is a very costly proposition.

When the parents of cheated students tried to repeatedly contact the agent in Jalandhar, his office was found locked continuously.

Police can’t act biased in permitting political rallies: Calcutta HC

A single-judge bench of the Calcutta High Court on Friday observed that the state police forces in West Bengal cannot act in a biased manner while giving permission for rallies by different political parties in the state.

The Calcutta High Court’s single-judge bench of Justice Rajasekhar Mantha also ruled that from now onwards instead of seeking permission from the local police station, all political parties can seek permission either from the commissioners of respective police commissionerats or the respective district police superintendents.

“I hope the police to adopt an unbiased approach in permitting rallies without any discrimination in political parties,” Justice Mantha ruled in a case filed at the Calcutta High Court complaining denial of police permission for joint rally by CPI(M) and All India Secular Front (AISF) at Bhangar in South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.

Justice Mantha observed that recently there had been several cases filed at the court with complaints against police for giving permission to conduct political rallies and programmes. “It seems there is a necessity to format some specific norms on this count,” Justice Mantha observed.

He also outlined a specific format regarding applications for permission for rallies to commissionerats and offices of district police superintendents, besides setting some norms for the police authorities on this count.

According to Justice Mantha, the police authorities concerned should separately register the different applications and at the same time upload the status of the application on their respective websites. He also said that it is advisable to treat the application on a “first come first serve” basis, which means priority should be given to applicants applying before.

“There should not be any kind of disparity on this count,” Justice Mantha observed. He also said that the police should maintain and document proposed routes of rally and estimated turnout and ensure that the rally is conducted peacefully.

Western doublespeak: If Bharat is a ‘Hindu fascist state’, why would persecuted Muslim minority sects from Islamic ‘utopias’ seek asylum here?

Pakistan was created in 1947 because apparently Muslim minority in Bharat would be oppressed by Hindu majority. So in 1971 the eastern half was subjected to genocide when US-armed and backed Pakistan military began extermination of its inhabitants.

Hindus were specifically targeted for rap and extermination. Yet Muslim Bengalis were also targeted because they were portrayed as dark-skinned Hindu converts who needed forcible impregnation by rape to create a true and superior Muslim race.

These ideas were sinister echoes of Nazi plans for genocide of an inferior race and Lebensborn to create a master race. Just as nazi occupied Europe had collaborators so Jamaat-i-Islam and al-Shams militia helped the Pakistan occupying forces in Bangladesh.

The irony of how Muslims of East Pakistan voted to secede from Bharat in 1947 because of its Hindu majority only to need that demographic’s help when it came to saving them from extermination by fellow Muslims. Yet we all hear about from South Asia ‘experts’ is saffron terror.

Bharat is said to be a Hindu fascist state where Muslims are oppressed. Proof of this is the asylum laws which fast track applications from minority Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Christians from neighboring Islamic states: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan.

But this begs a question. If Bharat is so oppressive to Muslims why do those same anti-Hindu groups want to make it easier for Muslims from Islamic utopias to claim asylum in Bharat? Admittedly Ahmadiyya’s and Shias are persecuted in Pakistan.

But why has this become Bharat’s problem? Why did an ‘oppressive’ Hindu majority become needed to liberate Muslim majority Bangladesh from fellow Muslims and now be obliged to save minority sects in Islam from Sunni majority? Yet Bharat is castigated as the aggressor in region!

How many Jews and Roma were begging to get into Nazi Germany? In fact how many Muslims from Bharat are trying to illegally cross into Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan? Facts speak truth even if media, academia and ‘experts’ warp reality.
