“Will ruin church’s reputation”, pastor’s son refuses to marry girl after sexual exploitation

A pastor and his son have been booked for raping a college girl in Tamil Nadu. The pastor’s son refused to marry her after sexually exploiting her on the promise of marriage. The girl had leveled rape charges against the father and another pastor as well.

Pastor David Jacob runs a Pentecostal church named Zion Prayer House near Panagudi in Tirunelveli. His son Anis Paul(25) made acquaintance with a 22 year old MCA student who attended the church. Anis Paul proposed to her and took her out on many occasions. As per Tamil media reports he also promised to marry her.

On this promise he sexually exploited the girl. But when she started asking him to marry her Paul stopped talking with her. He asked her to stay away from him for 2 years as their relationship would bring bad repute to his family and the church. Anis reportedly slandered the girl’s name among his relatives and friends. He told his paternal uncle Gnanamani and cousin Prince about the girl. The family started threatening the victim to stay away from Anis.

Prince called the victim on the phone and talked in obscene language. Audios of the man indulging in verbal sexual abuse went viral on social media. Following the victim’s complaint police have booked Jacob, his son, brother and nephew. All of them are absconding and yet to be arrested.

The lifestyle of Pentecostal and Protestant pastors has become extravagant with a lot of foreign funds flowing in. It appears that girls fall for pastors and their sons on seeing such luxurious lifestyles and in the belief that as men of the cloth they’ll keep their promise. As such, incidents of girls being sexually abused and exploited by pastors have become frequent.

A trainee Christian priest was arrested in August 2022 for sexually exploiting a college girl on the promise of marriage and later threatening to burn her when she pressurised to marry.

Last year a woman had accused a Pentecostal pastor of trying to marry another after sexually exploiting her. They were betrothed and the pastor had sexual relationship with the woman as even the marriage date was fixed. But the pastor’s family started demanding a dowry of 50 sovereigns of jewelry, car, home appliances, etc. As she couldn’t afford it they found another bride and tried to betroth her to the pastor.

Another pastor brought his fiancé to his house on the pretext of praying for her and raped her. He also took money and jewellery from her but later refused to marry her. The victim came to know later that he had duped many women in the same manner using his ‘pious pastor’ image.

In 2019, a Hindu woman Abirami filed a complaint against pastor Stanley Denny Roberts for sexually exploiting her on the promise of marriage. They were supposedly in a relationship for 2 years and Abirami conceived a child as a result of the physical relationship between them in the meantime. However, Roberts asked Abirami to abort the child saying they’d have children after marriage. But his parents secretly arranged for his marriage with another girl. When Abirami came to know of this and went to Roberts’ parents to seek justice she was threatened of dire consequences.

Similarly in 2016, a Christian widow was sexually exploited by a pastor on the promise of marriage and threatened with murder when she asked him to marry her. In 2013, one Justin Joseph was arrested for abusing a woman named Mary. Mary was a nurse visiting Justin’s house to take care of his aunt. Justin who was a pastor sexually exploited Mary by promising marriage. These are only some examples of such behaviour available on MSM, that too in Tamil Nadu alone.

There have been many such instances of pastors duping Hindu women as well promising marriage, provided they convert. It is an undeniable fact that marriage is indeed a costly affair with the need for a certain amount of jewellery in possession to find a respectable groom. Women are also duped in the name of love and left in the lurch after sexual exploitation.

It’s a well known fact that it’s the canon law that the church follows, based on which such issues are solved within the congregation. Church higher-ups usually convince the flock to bury such issues to ‘protect’ the Church reputation and the law of the land is ignored.

Lumpy virus: R’sthan, Punjab and Gujarat severely affected, UP succeeds in halting spread

States like Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat are severely affected by the spread of the lumpy skin disease which has so far infected nearly 20,57,700 animals across the country. On the other hand, among the bigger states, Uttar Pradesh has succeeded in halting the spread of the deadly disease.

According to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, so far 20,57,700 animals have been infected with this virus, while more than 97,000 animals have died.

Among the states, Rajasthan is facing the worst situation with about 14 lakh animals infected by the virus so far, of which 64,000 have died. Rajasthan is followed by Punjab, which has 1,73,159 infected animals, of which 17,200 have died and the mortality rate is more than 10 percent.

In Gujarat, 1,56,236 animals have been infected with this virus, of which 5,544 have perished. Similarly, in Himachal Pradesh, 66,333 animals have contracted the disease, of which 2,993 have died whereas in Haryana, 1,941 animals out of the total 97,821 afflicted have perished. Infected animals in Jammu and Kashmir number 32,391, of which 333 have perished.

Likewise, the virus has killed 273 animals out of the 26,024 that have been infected with the virus in Uttar Pradesh. Officials said that the Uttar Pradesh government’s efforts to halt the spread of the lumpy skin disease are showing positive outcomes. It has emerged as the most successful state in containing the spread of the lumpy virus, when compared to the six largest and most severely impacted states.

Dharampal Singh, Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development, said: “In accordance with the Chief Minister’s directives, we are conducting a routine evaluation by establishing Team 9, as it was formed during the Covid outbreak. We have started a significant treatment and immunisation effort. We’ve managed to keep the virus under control.”

As many as 26 districts in the western part of the state have been affected by the lumpy skin disease. The Yogi government’s prompt and effective action against the virus has resulted in a mortality rate of just 1% while 64% of the infected animals have recovered. The government is also carrying out vaccination regularly to safeguard the animals from this illness.

In order to curb the spread of this disease, the UP government prepared a strategy, under which intensive vaccination is being conducted through creation of rings and belts. Belt-1 is a 320 km stretch from Nepal to Madhya Pradesh, while Belt-2 has been created in the Bundelkhand region which is spread over an area of 155 km. These belts are about 10 km wide. Priority is being given to vaccination of animals on inter-state and inter-district bordering villages and blocks.

In the state, 1126 teams have been constituted for vaccination, resulting in the inoculation of nearly 50 lakh animals with the goat pox vaccine. To save the animals, the government is now going to take vaccination campaigns to every district. The government has set a target of administering 1 crore vaccines by October 10. More than 1.22 crore vaccine doses are available in the state.

Shakti Peethas: centres of Maa Adishakti’s divinity

Maa Adishakti is the force from whom the Trimurtis draw their power. At the beginning of creation when Brahma Dev needed the energy to create the universe, Mahadev separated Devi Shakti from Himself thus helping Brahma to complete His creation.

The birth story of Maa Adishakti as Devi Sati

At that time, Maa had promised to be born in human form to unite with Mahadev. Prajapati Daksh, manasputra of Brahma Dev, then did penance to get Maa Adishakti as his daughter. His daughter Sati was Maa Adishakti Herself whose time to unite with Shiva had come. By that time, however, Daksh had become arrogant and blinded by hatred for Mahadev which was an outcome of his arrogance. Much against his wishes Sati and Shiva were married.

Once when Daksh organised a Yagna, he did not invite his son-in-law, Mahadev. However, taken in by paternal affection Devi Sati decided to attend the Yagna against the wishes of Mahadev. There, unable to bear the insult meted out to Her husband by Her father, Devi Sati gave up Her mortal body through Her Yoga-Agni.

The Shakti Peetha story

Extremely distressed and agitated by Her death, Mahadev ordered Veer Bhadra to destroy everything and kill Daksh. Bhagwan Shiva then visited Daksh’s home to carry away the body of His wife. He was so grief-stricken that he wandered around with Sati’s body.

Recognising that this wasn’t good for the universe, Sri Hari Vishnu used His Sudarshan chakra which cut the body of Sati into several pieces. The places where the parts of Her body fell were enshrined as Shakti Peethas by Bhagwan Mahadev and a Kala Bhairav was assigned the task of protecting each Mandir.

The Shakti Peethas

There are 51 Shakti Peethas besides the 4 Adi Shakti Peethas which are located all over Aryavarta (Bharatiya subcontinent). Each Peetha has a presiding deity and a corresponding Bhairav guarding the place. The 55 centres of Maa Adishakti’s divinity are listed below.

The four Adi Shaktipeethas are Bimala Devi within Jagannath Mandir complex in Puri, Tara Tarini Devi Mandir in Behrampur, Kamakhya Devi Mandir in Guwahati and Dakshina Kalika Mandir in Kolkata. While the Brahmanda Purana mentions 64 Shaktipeethas of Devi Parvati, Adi Shankara’s composition lists 18 Maha Shaktipeethas.

There may be slight variations with regard to the modern locations of these Peethas and their number (as noticed in the above list). However, the most important thing to remember is whatever the number, these are not just pilgrimage centres but locales where humans are expected to gain spiritual ascendance in their ultimate goal of Mukti.

The aim of going on a pilgrimage shouldn’t just be restricted to seeking blessings and gaining materialistically. In fact, one should be able to transcend the materialistic world and take baby steps towards practising detached attachment. After all, the story of Devi Sati was also about transcending the human body and identifying the divinity within.

AK Antony lies about his Delhi visit

Images courtesy janmabhumi.in

When asked about the purpose of his visit to Delhi, Former Defense Minister AK Antony lied to the media. He said that Sonia Gandhi had invited him to discuss the Congress presidential election. The truth is that the CBI court summoned him in the Tatra Truck scam case. Antony blatantly lied to avoid media questions about the corruption case.

Tatra Truck fraud was discovered in 2012. The Czech Republic manufactures Tatra trucks, and armies worldwide use them. Middlemen ensured that the Tatra trucks were supplied to Bharat’s Army at a very high price through a suspicious route. The trucks ultimately cost our Army between 100 and 120 percent more than the initial manufacture price.

Former Chief of Army Gen. VK Singh alleged that on September 22, 2010, at a meeting in the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) office, South Block, he was offered a bribe of Rs. 14 crores by Lieutenant General (Retired) Tejinder Singh. It was done on behalf of a middleman named Ravi Rishi (he died in 2016). In return for the bribe, Gen. VK Singh was to clear the file to purchase Tatra vehicles within a month.

After completing the investigation in the case, the CBI submitted the charge sheet to the court. This charge sheet also mentioned the former defense minister’s involvement in the scam. Antony was summoned by the Delhi Rose Avenue Court to explain his role in the fraud. In the UPA era, this Rs 750 crore worth of scam occurred in purchasing Tatra trucks and their components.

AK Antony was cross-examined by Senior Advocate Pramod Kumar Dubey and Advocate Anurag Andley. He claimed that Gen VK Singh never presented him with a written complaint. He also denied that VK Singh showed him any audio recording, which is why Antony took no direct action against Lt Gen Tejinder Singh.

Antony admitted in court that VK Singh discussed this case with him and informed him that he was offered a bribe. He identified Tejinder Singh as the individual who had made the cash offer. Antony claimed that he was ‘stunned’ and remained silent. Antony added that VK Singh had previously written to him and the Defence Secretary about scams like Adarsh fraud but not this time.

In 2019, the court filed charges against former Lt Gen Tejinder Singh for allegedly offering a bribe to ex-Army Chief General (Retd) VK Singh. Tejinder claimed not guilty and demanded a trial. According to the court’s additional analysis of the facts and circumstances, Tejinder Singh is prima facie guilty of an offense under Section 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

There is no dispute that the file relating to the purchase of Tatra Trucks was under consideration on the relevant date. The appointment between Lt. Gen. Tejinder Singh and Gen. VK Singh took place on the said date as per the record D-10 kept by the Army. Tejinder Singh, the alleged accused, hasn’t denied the meeting. The court stated that it is also evident that Gen. VK Singh had instructed his Military Attache JP Singh not to permit Tejinder Singh into his office. The trial continues.

Corruption in defense purchases was common during Congress regimes. Nehru had the Jeep scandals, Indira Gandhi was embroiled in the submarine scam, and Rajiv Gandhi had the ‘mother of all scams’ in the Bofors deal.

Rajiv was first charged with receiving Rs. 64 crores in kickbacks. Later, he was accused of shielding the principal defendant in this case, Ottavio Quattrocchi. He was an Italian middleman who maintained a close relationship with Rajiv through Sonia Gandhi. The Bofors scandal demonstrated how the corruption culture within Congress had infiltrated all levels, even implicating the Prime Minister of Bharat and his family.

Defense deal scams exploded during the Sonia-led UPA regime from 2004 to 2014. Antony was the defense minister from October 2006 till the day Congress was booted out from power in May 2014. His legacy saw the Adarsh Housing Society scam, AgustaWestland helicopter scam, and Scorpene submarine scam that saw an alleged Rs.500 crores in kickbacks to corrupt lawmakers.

बांग्लादेश- क्रिकेटर लिटन दास: हिन्दू क्रिकेटर और कट्टरपंथी नफरत: पर बुतों से घृणा तो उनके और हिन्दी साहित्य में जमकर है!

Bangladeshi cricketer Liton Das received a flurry of anti-Hindu hate messages after posting Mahalaya greetings

cambridge डिक्शनरी के अनुसार इसका अर्थ है an object made from a hard material, especially stone or metal, to look like a person or animal:

Bharatiya warship anchors in Seychelles, key to New Delhi’s foothold in western Indian Ocean

The Bharatiya Navy is participating in a two-week exercise being conducted by the world’s largest multinational naval partnership, Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), in Seychelles, signalling New Delhi’s growing interest in the western Indian Ocean.

Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sunayna entered Port Victoria in the capital city of the archipelago of 115 islands which lies northeast of Madagascar on Saturday to participate in CMF’s annual training exercise ‘Operation Southern Readiness’.

“This not only reinforces Indian Navy’s commitment to maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region but also marks the maiden participation of an Indian Navy ship in CMF exercise,” a statement from the Defence Ministry said Monday.

CMF is leading the two-week mission in partnership with the Seychelles People’s Defence Force, European Union Naval Force, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and Bharat which began partnering with CMF earlier this year.

Participating countries also include Australia, Canada, France, Italy, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and the United States as the navies work on strengthening regional collaboration and enhancing operational readiness.

SeychellesCMF consists of 34 member nations whose forces operate in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Northern Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, Arabian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.

“Seychelles is a strong regional maritime partner and we are very grateful for them hosting this new opportunity. We are also excited to work with other international partners, including India, to train and build capacity in a vibrant way,” said Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command, US 5th Fleet and CMF.

The CMF nations said that they stand united in upholding international rules-based order to protect the free flow of commerce, ensure regional maritime security and deter illicit activity by non-state actors.

As two countries which face similar security challenges in the backdrop of the current global situation and growing security concerns in the Indian Ocean Region, Bharat and Seychelles have increased defence cooperation over the past few years.

Bharat has handed over four fast patrol boats including PS Zoroaster and PS Topaz to Seychelles. It has also launched a Coastal Surveillance Radar Project in Seychelles. Besides, Bharat has granted US $3.4 million, along with a 1-megawatt ground-mounted solar plant located on Romainville Island. The high-impact project is expected to produce enough electricity to serve around 400 households.

Broadening their cooperation towards co-existence in the Indo-Pacific Region, both countries have participated in wide-ranging maritime security, air surveillance, training and capacity building and antipiracy operations.

The 9th edition of the 10-day India-Seychelles Joint Training Exercise Lamitiye-2022 was held in March at the Seychelles Defence Academy which cemented mutual confidence, and interoperability and enabled sharing of best practices between the armed forces of the two countries.

“The biennial exercise is an important event in the defence cooperation between the two nations and it has contributed immensely in strengthening bilateral military cooperation and interoperability between both armies. The two militaries share a long history of friendship, mutual respect and understanding of each other,” Brigadier Michael Rosette, Chief of Defence Forces of SDF had stated earlier this year.

Strengthening cooperation amongst maritime neighbours to tackle the shared regional security challenges faced by countries in the Indian Ocean has been a top priority for National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval.

That Bharat and Seychelles have a key role to play in securing the region by working together on a common platform was quite evident when its top security officials were invited to attend the Bharat-led Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) in the Maldives, earlier this year.

In April, Bharatiya Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, on a tour of South West Indian Ocean Region, also visited Seychelles.

During the visit, the Chief of Naval Staff called on the country’s President Wavel Ramkalawan, Foreign Minister Sylvestre Radegonde, and Rosette to hold discussions on maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region and avenues to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation.

The CNS, who also served as the Naval Advisor to the Seychelles government in 2001-02, had also presented a navigation chart of Port Victoria, prepared by the National Hydrographic Office (NHO) of India, under the MoU on bilateral hydrographic cooperation.

“The interactions of the CNS at Seychelles set in motion a promising trajectory of further growth in the scale and scope of bilateral defence engagements, founded on the principles of SAGAR (Security And Growth for All in the Region) and the ‘Five S’ Vision of Sammaan (Respect) – Samvaad (Dialogue) – Sahyog (Cooperation) – Shanti (Peace) and Samriddhi (Prosperity) articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” commented the Defence Ministry then.

Following Admiral Hari Kumar’s visit, Indian Naval Ship Gharial had called at Port Victoria in May – the successful deployments of the Bharat Navy under Mission SAGAR further boosting the concept of ‘Collective Responsibility’ for maritime security in the IOR.

UP couple who worked at notorious U’khand resort narrate horror tale of police apathy

A young couple from Uttar Pradesh who worked at the now infamous Vantara Resort in Rishikesh had managed to ‘escape’ two months ago after they witnessed ‘suspicious’ activities there.

The couple Rishita and her husband Vivek Bhardwaj, 29, walked 10 km until they caught a bus and returned home in Meerut.

Rishita, 27, worked at the front office of the resort and Vivek was with the housekeeping department.

Within a month of joining, the couple decided to quit after witnessing the alleged wrongdoings.

They found the job through a post on social media.

The couple told reporters that the main accused in the Ankita Bhandari case, Pulkit Arya, was abusive.

“He would entertain guests with girls and drugs. We decided to leave within a month of joining. However, when we went back home to Meerut, we started receiving calls from the two other accused, Ankit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar. They kept calling us for over a week, urging us to return. They promised everything would be alright and assured us of better emoluments,” said Vivek.

The couple are now back in Rishikesh to depose before the Uttarakhand police probing the case.

Rishita told reporters: “We went back but they continued with their illicit activities. They even refused to give us our salaries and thrashed me once. I approached the local police, who were of no help. We tried to contact the Haridwar police but no help came from them either. Cops kept telling us that the area did not fall under their jurisdiction and that we must approach the local patwari. However, the patwari was hand in glove with Pulkit and others and joined in on our harassment.”

She further alleged that she was held ‘hostage’ along with her husband after the two were forced to sign an apology letter for a fake theft case.

“They said that the letter would be used against us if we even thought of leaving,” she added.

The couple said that they left the resort at 3 a.m. by scaling the wall along with another employee and walked a long distance till they boarded a bus.

“A four-member SIT in its ongoing probe of the case will record the statement of the couple in the case,” the Uttarakhand Police said in an official release on Tuesday evening.

Hyderabad: Two Burkha-clad women vandalize Maa Durga murti; family alleges “mentally unstable”

Source: thenationalopinion.com

Many occurrences mark the onset of Durga Puja; Islamists attacking the murtis of the deity is just one of them. This has been happening so regularly that no one even bats an eyelid at these incidents.

On Tuesday, September 27, pictures of a desecrated Maa Durga murti in Hyderabad surfaced on social media. Damages to the murti and the lion were visible in images from the site. Soon, it was revealed that two Burqa-clad women had carried out the vandalization in the Navaratri Pandal in the Khairatabad locality of Hyderabad.

They had barged into the pandal and smashed a portion of the Devi Durga murti, confirms Hyderabad Police. When a local attempted to stop them, one of these women attacked him with a metallic tool. However, locals apprehended both women and handed them over to the police.

This duo had also wrecked an idol of Mother Mary outside a nearby church. DCP, Central Zone, Hyderabad, stated, “In the morning, we received a call that two ladies have tried to vandalize the mother Mary statue and later they also tried to vandalize the statue (sic) of Goddess Durga.”

He added, “One woman was also seen carrying a spanner and she tried to attack a local who tried to stop. However, locals caught both of them and handed them over to Saidabad police. We are trying to verify their details, but they are behaving very weirdly. An investigation is underway.”

The authorities were trying to figure out the identities of these women and their motives behind doing this. The accused refused to disclose their identities. Later, Hyderabad’s Central Zone DCP MR Chandra informed that both the women belonged to a family of four and had returned from Jeddah in 2018.

The women’s family member came forward and issued an apology while identifying them as his mother and sister. He claimed that his mother and sister have ‘schizophrenia’ and that his other brother also has paranoid schizophrenia. A complaint has been filed under the relevant sections of IPC, informed a police officer. “Now, we’ll record all statements. Since the women’s brothers said they have a mental issue, we will refer them to a government hospital and produce them before the magistrate. It’s up to the magistrate to take a call,” the DCP assured.

It is worth noting that both the women, allegedly suffering from a mental illness, had chosen to walk up to a church and a Navratri pandal and attack a statue of Mother Mary and Devi Durga. Even in their extreme fear of mental illness, they didn’t go and vandalize a Mazar or a masjid. Damaging the religious symbols of non-Muslims and then claiming to have mental illness has become an established pattern these days.

During Durga Puja last year, Islamists in Bangladesh started a countrywide attack on Hindus after a copy of the Quran was found near the feet of a Hanuman murti at a Durga puja pandal. Later it was revealed that the Quran was placed in the pandal by a Muslim man named Iqbal. Apologists started the narrative of him being mentally unstable to protect him, but Comilla CID denied these claims.

In June 2016, a Muslim youth desecrated a Hindu temple in Jammu. He flung stones at windowpanes and tried to destroy the Shivaling and murti of Bhagwan Shiva. Later, Law Minister Abdul Haq Khan claimed that the man identifying as Yasir of Doda was mentally unstable.

While there are many such instances, in a more recent incident that occurred on April 3, a man named Ahmad Murtaza Abbasi severely hurt two police personnel with a sharp weapon outside the Gorakhnath just a day before CM Yogi Adityanath’s scheduled visit to the temple.

Again, his family started claiming that he was mentally unstable. However, the doctor who treated the attacker refuted the reports of him having any mental disorder. This pattern has spread to other regions as well, including China.

Hence, we are compelled to wonder if these individuals who attack non-Islamic places of worship are actually mentally unstable or just radicalized Islamists using mental illness as a cover-up for their Hinduphobia.

While Islamists are smashing Durga murtis ahead of the Hindu festivities, seculars and defenders of Islamists are trying to carry out different propaganda through social media. We all remember the famous and overused image of a burkha-clad woman taking her child as “Krishna” to school for Janmashtami.

On similar lines, images of Muslims celebrating Durga puja are also circulating on Facebook. Social Media users should not get misled by such fake eye-washes. Gullible Hindus who organically gravitate toward secularism must be made aware of the stark difference between reality and the propaganda being run to hide the uncomfortable reality.

UP govt to seek death penalty for 11-year-old’s rape & murder convict Zeeshan Khan

Allahabad HC

The Uttar Pradesh government will go to the Allahabad High Court to seek capital punishment for an accused in a rape and murder case.

The POCSO court has granted life imprisonment to the accused for the rape and murder of a minor in 2019.

The accused had first assaulted and then set on fire an 11-year-old girl in Sambhal. The child fought for life for seven days in a Delhi hospital before succumbing to burn injuries.

Additional district government counsel N.K. Yadav said, “On November 21, 2019, the victim was alone in her house as her mother had gone to see a doctor. Finding her alone, Zeeshan Khan raped her and set her ablaze. We will now seek capital punishment for him.”

Khan was arrested and sent to jail.

Mayawati can join oppn alliance if projected as PM candidate

In a major development, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has said that it can join the opposition alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, provided the alliance partners are ready to project Mayawati as their Prime Ministerial candidate.

BSP national spokesperson Dharamveer Chaudhary said that the “ultimate decision, however, will be taken by Behenji (Mayawati)”,

Chaudhary added that if the opposition parties reach out to BSP in a respectful manner and apprise the party chief of their agenda, there is no harm that the party would see in aligning with them.

“The opposition parties have no leader of Mayawati’s stature. She is a big leader with a pan-India appeal,” he said.

Asked about the possibility of an alliance with Akhilesh Yadav, Chaudhary said: “Mayawati ji is a much bigger leader than Akhilesh Yadav. She has been the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times, while Akhilesh has held the post only once. She also is a large-hearted eader and forgives the mistakes of others. If Akhilesh accepts her as a leader with a clean heart, we will welcome him with flowers.”

Notably, the BSP was kept out of the meetings of the opposition parties called by TMC and NCP when they were to decide their candidates for the President and Vice President posts.

Mayawati had expressed her anger in public in a tweet on the opposition’s behaviour.
